Window Cleaning FAQ's

Q How often do you call?

A Every four, six or eight weeks

Q Did you clean Velux or skylight?

​A If your Velux windows are reachable without using ladders we will clean them, but the water fed pole and brush we use to clean your windows are very lightweight and sometimes struggles to remove baked on pollen, bird mess and dust from Velux or skylight's due to the fact that no pressure can be applied by us on the Velux. 

Q Can the windows be cleaned in the rain and wind?

A Yes. Rain water is relatively pure so does not affect the quality of the clean but if the weather is stormy with high winds we usually no come. Otherwise the windows are cleaned all year round.

Q You came to clean windows but you did not clean conservatory roof. Why? 

A Conservatory roofs are booked as a separate job and are not included in  normal window cleaning price. 

Q Do you clean the window sills?

A Yes, on every visit we clean glass, frames and sills  as standard with our cleaning service. Please note - There is always a chance of water and particles of dirt running out from the gap between the window and the sill. This does not mean the we have not cleaned your sills. Over time the dirt trapped between the window and the sill will be washed out.

Q How will I know when you are coming?

A We will always send you reminder an SMS, e-mail or call you the day before

Q Do you have liability insurance?

A Yes, We are fully insured

What method do you use to clean the windows? Why have you left glass wet?

A We use pure filtered and deionised water to clean your windows. This involves the use of a carbon fibre telescopic pole, a soft brush and pure water which we have filtered through a five stage filtration process. We remove the dirt from your windows with a purpose made window cleaning brush then rinse the glass. The pure water is left on the windows to dry naturally without leaving watermarks.

Q Why is the First Clean price more expensive?

A The price is higher per clean on the first clean due to the extra time needed to clean the windows, frames and doors.


Gutter Cleaning FAQ's


Q How often do I need clean the gutters?

A Minimum twice a year, once in the spring and once in the autumn. However if you home is surrounded by trees you may need to clean them more often.


Q How will I know when gutter needs to be cleaned?  

A You may notice some areas of gutters to being overflow when it rains. This means you have clogged gutters. shingle girt can collect over time, pests may have a nests and organic debris such as: pollen and dirty may collect up there as well


Q What happens if I decide not to clean clogged gutters?

A Ignoring clogged gutter can have serious consequences .

Can lead to a build up of mould inside and outside your guttering, and a condensing of debris which can soon lead to blocked gutters. Blocked guttering can lead to siding damage, foundation damage caused by flooding, as well as flooded areas of your property, including roofs and basements, spalling brickwork.


Q What's the difference between  gutter vacuum cleaning and gutter washing?

A Gutter vacuum cleaning clears out the insides of the gutters and the downpipes.

Gutter washing is carried out using a high reach pure water cleaning system that washes down the outsides of the gutters, removing dirt and green algae.

 

Q How much does it cost?

A We offer to come out and give you a quote is because every property is different and this way we can be sure that everything you want cleaned is included in the quote, so there are no hidden costs and no unwanted surprises on the day of cleaning.

When we quote we are able to view your gutters with a telescopic inspection pole and camera so we can see exactly what condition your gutters are in. You can see too if you wish
